Wow. You raise quite the question about the different perspectives of self-identity here. I had some trouble believing Harry would be able to grow accustomed, or rather, reaccustomed to a Snape with his memories back; Hermione's point about a person's experiences making up their persona is very much valid, and a large part of Snape's experiences has revolved around his grudge-bred hatred of James Potter and the son with Lily's eyes. I wondered how long Harry would be able to bear Snape's vitriolic nature without the balm of memory loss and somewhat of a tabula rasa.
But despite my misgivings, I could also picture this Harry and this Snape navigating together around the various pitfalls that would surface throughout their relationship. Despite the Memoria Secludo spell and moments of canonically uncharacteristic gentleness and unguardedness, Snape retains that sharp, nasty edge. That one line where he's horrified with his fantasy of taking Harry while Harry's begging "Please, please, no!" (or something to that effect) is probably my favorite line. When I read it, I sat back for a moment, luxuriating in the thought that there's still some Snape in the guy (and getting a kick out of his own horror). And though Harry ackowledges that it scares him when Stefan is rough with him, he's also honest enough, perceptive enough, to see that it also titillates him; I think it was a very good move for Harry to realize in their first beyond-kissing scene that he enjoyed the feel of a man's weight over him, dominating him. So while it's not absolutely certain that their relationship is happily-ever-after (IMHO), I like that you present the scenario as a very plausible one. Realistic.
I know you've gotten several comments on this, but here's my shout-out as well for a lovely, snarky, snarly, insecure Snape and a clumsy, maturing Harry (who thank goodness has shed that darkness JKR randomly threw over him).
Thank you for such an awesome and thought-provoking story! I really enjoyed. :)
