Harry
“So, what was it that made you fall for me?” Harry asked Severus, grinning tipsily as they relaxed on the sofa after their guests had left.
Severus raised a mocking eyebrow. “And what precisely, my arrogant young Gryffindor, makes you so sure I’ve fallen for you?”
“Well, you’ve moved in, we have great sex together, you get insanely jealous of me fancying someone else, and, which is the clincher, you just spent a whole evening being nice to my friends. Yep, you’ve fallen for me!”
He paused, suddenly earnest. “S’alright. I fell for you first.” And harder, he didn’t add.

“So, what was it that made you fall for me?” Harry had asked him.
How to answer that?
Was it the realisation that Harry had grown up, was a man now, and an admirable one at that, more than the sum of his progenitors?
Was it his freeing of Severus from the tyranny of both his masters?
Was it the moment he realised that Harry had saved his life – more, had given him a life worth saving?
All these, perhaps. But also, the gradual dawning on him that he now, perhaps for the first time ever, truly had a home.
