I am so glad you liked my "minor" characters - I had great fun inventing Auror Scriven, and writing Ron, in particular: he's so often portrayed as being OK with Harry being gay, just as long as he doesn't get to hear the details, that I thought it would be fun to have him reluctantly bi-curious.
I also loved giving Severus a few hobbies - after all, as I wrote in the fic, he had to have done something during the long summer holidays whilst Voldemort was dormant!
And IMHO - a Snape without prickles just isn't a Snape! *g*
