“He’s driving me mad, Hermione! It’s like I can’t do anything right. Sometimes I wonder why we’re even together…”

“Oh, Harry…”

Returning cautiously to their cottage, Harry sensed a brittle calm. Amidst the chaos caused by their furious argument, a stiff figure sat upon the sofa, staring into the fire.

“Severus?”

“Harry.” A deep breath. “I regret…”

Harry was in his arms in a heartbeat. “I’m sorry too. God, Severus, I hate it when we fight. Let’s never fight again, OK?”

Severus sighed, and held him. There was no use in telling Harry that things were never that simple.

:) I like their dynamics. Harry's a bit naïve and always the optimistic, and Severus resigning himself grudgingly to the fact that he loves Harry.
