Gone
“He’s gone, Ron. I just got home this evening and – well, the house was empty and it didn’t feel right, but I thought it was just me. Reaction to stress and all that – you know what it’s been like since that article came out. Ha! Since I came out, har bloody har.
“And then I thought, maybe he’s gone for a walk or something, so I waited a bit, but he didn’t come back. And when I went upstairs, his stuff was gone and there was just this note sitting on the bed.
“What am I going to do, Ron?”
-----------------------------------------------
It could be worse
Ron and Hermione were round at Harry’s again. Ron had wanted him to go out, get away from all the doom and gloom for a bit, but Harry didn’t want to leave the house just in case the miserable git came back.
“It could be worse, you know. At least he took his things.” Hermione’s tone was soft, comforting.
“’Mione! Harry’s bloke’s just left him, how could him leaving his crap here have made it worse?”
But Harry just smiled, sadly.
“S’all right, I know what she means. People who’re going off to kill themselves don’t usually take a suitcase.”
