I am immensely pleased: the industrious stcoco has translated a Cat!Snarry of mine, An Inconvenient Affliction, into Chinese!

I could sit and stare it in total incomprehension all day! ;D

I am practically bouncing off the walls with excitement, because Sindustry Vol 1 is now available to buy from Dreamspinner Press in either e-book or print version! Yep, someone actually thought my story was worth cutting down a tree for! *feels guilty about the poor tree*

It's a fantastic anthology containing stories by several well-established m/m authors including (among others) Clare London, Rhianne Aile & Madeleine Urban and Bethany Brown. And one or two names you may not have seen so often, such as my fishy alter-ego JL Merrow... *g* Lenore Black is a new author to me, but I particularly enjoyed her story Fun and Games about a computer geek and a rentboy.

And rentboys and other male sex workers is what this anthology is all about - so what's not to like? ;D

Oh, and while my story is most emphatically not a file-off-the-serial-numbers version of a fanfic - that's always struck me as a rather joyless task, sort of like writing only without the fun bit, for me at any rate - anyone who's enjoyed my AU Snarries may just possibly find something to like in my story! ;D

Well, I had a fabulous weekend in Gloucester, involving much quaffing of wine and receiving of tongue-baths (unfortunately only from my friend's extremely friendly dog. Although I have to say, he is exceedingly cute... Nope, not going there *eg*).

I finally got to see the new Star Trek movie! Which I enjoyed just as much as I had expected to, based on the general squeeage on LJ and IJ. I thought the Spock/Uhura relationship was rather sweet, although I realise I'm probably making few friends here... ;D

And when I got back, I found my Torquere Sip had come out as promised! *bounces*

Yes, Good Company by JL Merrow is now available for the princely sum of $1.29! Yep, I am well cheap! *g* It's a contemporary short story centering on a young hitchhiker and the older man who picks him up.

JL Merrow is in business!

I have just had an email to say that a short story of mine has, for the first time ever, been accepted for publication by those lovely people at Torquere Press!

It's called (unless they change it; I have not a clue how these things work) Different Strengths and was submitted for the Cherry Anthology due out in July. It's m/m and is set in Alabama, which should nicely confuse everyone who knows I'm English, and is the story of a young IT geek finding love on his first visit to a strip joint. As, ahem, you do... *g*

I'm so excited!!!
